What is the Canmore Nordic Centre?
A: The Nordic centre is a state of the art Nordic Ski facility, originally built for the 1988 Winter Olympic Games. It is now used to hold World Nordic Ski and Mountain Bike events, as well as a multitude of National sporting events.

Can anyone purchase Real Estate in Canmore or are there restrictions on who can Purchase?
A: Anyone of legal age to purchase Real Estate can purchase property in Canmore. There are certain properties in Canmore that require the resident of the property to work a minimum of 20 hours a week in the Bow Valley but there are very few and your Realtor will advise you should you be interested in one of these properties.

Does Canmore have any Ski Hills?
There are Four major ski hills within 1 hour’s drive: Mount Norquay, Sunshine, Lake Louise and Nakiska. There are an additional Two Ski Hills within a 2 hour’s drive: Kicking Horse Mountain in Golden and Panorama in Invermere.

What other outdoor activities are there to do in Canmore?
During the Summer months we have exceptional Mountain Biking, Road Cycling, White Water Rafting, Horse Back Riding, Caving, Hiking, Scrambling, Rock Climbing, Golfing, Soccer, Tennis, Fishing and Disc Golf as well as two bike jump parks and a BMX style race track. Our new Skateboard Park will be complete by the summer of 2010.

During the Winter months we have Downhill Skiing, Cross-Country Skiing, Skate Skiing and Biathlon trails at the Canmore Nordic Centre, Ice Skating, Ice-Fishing, Ice-Climbing, Dog Sledding and Tobogganing.
